7 days from marrakech to merzouga desert

Itinerary & program of

Day 1:  Marrakech – Ai t Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

Our journey starts in the exciting city of Marrakech where our guide will pick you up at a predetermined location.  The tour takes us through the scenic Atlas mountains ( pass of tochka 2260m high) where you will stop and discover some Berber villages of Morocco as well as the fascinating city of Quarzazate, where we will visit the studios of Atlas and have a tour of the beautiful Kasbah "Taourirt".  Further along, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the biggest Kasbah in Morocco and a World Heritage site via UNESCO. After we explore Ouarzazate city ,we will drive towards the valley of the roses.Our journey will end at the Dades Gorges.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga-Camel trekking- Night at the Desert Camp

We start day 2 with a walk between the Gorges while admiring the amazing scenery. Next, we proceed to the milestone river canyons; the Gorges of Todra. After enjoying our stop here, we pass the Moroccan cities of Erfoud ( famous of Fossils and dates, here if you are interested to find out a factory with its museum of Fossils. ) and Rissani on our way to the amazing desert city of Merzouga.  We arrive at the hotel and gear up for our camel trek into the desert.  As the sun sets behind us, we undertake an amazing camel ride thru the beautiful Sahara desert arriving approximately 90 minutes later at the desert camp of Erg Chebbi.  Dinner is served at the camp and guests later enjoy music and singing with Berber guides.  With limited light pollution, be prepared to be awed by the Milky Way galaxy in the skies above, shooting stars included.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani- Alnif- Tazarine- Agdaz- Ouarzazat -Marrakech

Wake early to experience the once of a lifetime feat of a sitting high up on a dune in the Sahara Desert and watching a spectacular sunrise.  Shortly thereafter, we return to the hotel via camel and enjoy a breakfast along with a shower before leaving the desert. Then we will drive along back to Marrakech via Rissani. we will pass the unti Atlas mountains via the towns of Alnif , Tazzarine, N'kob, Daraa Valley and Agdaz . We will have lunch in Ouarzazate and crossing the High Atlas mountains again before , we arrive Marrakech. The tour ends as we drop you off at your accommodation, all included in the price.
